Athena Renee has always carried two notebooks: one full of songs, and one full of numbers.

A soul singer and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, she found her voice at 15 as lead vocalist for the YFC Georgia Mass Choir. She never stopped. She has toured with Oprah's 2020 Vision Tour, sung background vocals for India.Arie, dvsn and Avery*Sunshine, and lent her talent to multiple movie commercials. As a songwriter, she has written for Keith Sweat, Musiq Soulchild, Kenny Lattimore and Cyhi the Prynce.

The other notebook took her somewhere most artists never go: inside the accounting department of the music business. Behind the name Athena Renee is Latonya Allen Deloach, a self-described math geek with a BBA in Finance from Georgia Southern University. She spent years as an accountant at Warner Music Group, in financial reporting at Warner Bros. Entertainment, and at a business management firm for entertainers. She has seen both lives of a song: the one fans hear, and the one written on a royalty statement.

Today she brings both notebooks to the stage. Her music is soulful, honest and rooted in self-discovery, from the quiet strength of "Know Myself" and "Choose Peace" to the bold confidence of "Take Me or Leave Me." Her debut single, "Blast Off," is about the moment you stop waiting for permission and go.

She also teaches. Think Like a Label: Live is her concert and keynote, where she performs her songs between lessons on ownership, money and the business of music. She is the author of Think Like a Label, a guide for independent artists, and she leads workshops for colleges, conferences, churches and creative communities.

With more than 15 years in the music business, Athena Renee's mission is simple: help the next generation of artists keep what they create.
